Affable Gary Mehigan, well known on television as one of the judges of MasterChef, will perform in Kitchen Essentials at his restaurant, The Boathouse Maribyrnong Park, in a fundraiser for the Cancer Council of Victoria.

I caught up with Gary at the Good Food and Wine Show recently (that’s Gary, pictured with me) and he said, ``The fundraising dinner is organised by Brumby’s Babes and supports the Cancer Council of Victoria.

``All proceeds from the event will go to Brumby’s Babes for the charity.’’
